So all is well. He is doing well and says that he doesn't hurt too bad. He is eating some things like Jello, because he is still on his liquid diet. The surgery was 31/2 hours long and went well, but not as planned. Dr. Loggie was able to drain his stomach of 10L of fluid, but due to him being anemic, was unable to do all things he intended. He decided that the risk of taking out dad's spleen out weighed the benifits my dad would recieve.&lt;br /&gt;Dad is in room #5123 at Creighton. Today, they have admitted dad to the hospital and will be hooking him up to the i.v and such to get him ready for surgery. Keep him in your prayers tomorrow for the big day. As of tonight, they are stopping just outside of Chicago.
